Meet and Greet with Emma Mary Tiglao

Meet and Greet with Emma Mary Tiglao

Twenty-four year old Emma Mary Francisco Tiglao can be considered a veteran in the field of beauty pageants considering all her past competitions from Mutya Ng Pilipinas to Miss World Philippines and Miss Midori Clark last year.

The Pampanga born beauty is gearing up and more than ready to take another chance in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the land, the Bb. Pilipinas. It took more than five years to finally convince herself to give another try again. In 2014 edition of the national pageant she managed to land in the Top 15, Emma was only 19 years old then. After several stints in other beauty contest where she consistently placed among the winners, Emma decided to devote her time working outside the country and set aside her dream of becoming a beauty queen for a while. She accepted a modeling job in Malaysia and Cambodia. One of her most memorable task was during the finals of Miss Cambodia 2016 pageant where she sat in the panel of board of judges. She crowned the eventual winner who competed at the Miss Universe pageant that year. With the money that she saved from her earnings, Emma was able to buy a car and a house and lot for her family. She has 3 other siblings, all girls and she is the youngest.

Fast forward today, Emma decided to stop accepting jobs to pursue her dream of becoming a Bb. Pilipinas title holder. First step, she enrolled at the Dale Carnegie to improve her communication skill which she believed her only waterloo in all of her past pageants. She was able to gain self confidence and has greatly improved her ability to speak in front of many people, second, she went on a strict diet to maintain her good body proportion, third, she joined the more than twenty hopefuls as part of the Kagandahang Flores (KF) beauty camp where they taught on how to develop their ability on to become a future beauty queen . Aside from being physically attractive, Emma has also a kind heart. She gave support to children in Nazareth, Pampanga who were suffering from mental disorder. She also makes it a point to visit at least every end of the quarter an orphanage for abandoned and less fortunate children in their home town.

Last March 12, she finally submitted her application form at the secretariat office of BPCI to signal her intention in joining the Bb. Pilipinas 2019 search. With all the time and effort that she invested for the last few months in preparation for the competition, Emma is definitely on the right track in winning a Bb. Pilipinas crown.
