They auditioned for Popipoy and passed the cattle call and made it to the top 8 finalist. The GANDARAS are composed of Christa Jocson, Emcel Abuso, Shira Mae Tweg, Ash Carpio, Mosh Gerodias and Mira Aquino. They can all sing and dance but Mira Aquino is the composer singer in fact she wrote and sung the theme song of their upcoming advocacy film about AIDS " SUGAT SA DUGO" entitled "D KA KULANG" a song about the struggle of young person towards life. Gandaras also appeared in some shows already like Lunch out Loud, Mel & Toni and did a promo material Chumy Milk Tea.
They also made their first acting experience in Sugat sa Dugo starring KHAI FLORES & JANICE DE BELEN where she won at The International Film MANHATTAN 2021. The GANDARAS showcased their acting abilities.
