Game Changer: Aerian Protective Wearables with Virus-Killing Technology Now Available in the Philippines

Wearing face masks is now the minimum health standard as the country continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, there are a growing number of face masks that are being introduced to the market, but one in particular stands out: Aerian Essentials.

Aerian Essentials recently launched its first product in the market. What sets this brand apart from the rest is its ground-breaking and patented technology that actively kills viruses upon contact. The microcidal effectiveness has been tested with over 650 viruses and bacteria species including the H3N2 virus, and other flu viruses.

More than just filtering

Most other masks filter and simply block particles, while Aerian’s protective wearables include a layer of nCamM™ nanosilver that kills viruses. nCamM™ nanosilver particles are extremely small, measuring 5 nanometers in size and smaller than the average virus. Each Aerian protective wearable has three (3) layers: an exterior layer that blocks particles, the nCamM™ middle layer that kills virus upon contact, and a protective inner layer that enhances the item’s longevity.

A Fusion of Function and Style

Aerian Essentials is designed and developed by a team led by Mr. Albert Andrada who ensured a breathable, comfortable, and functional design for the brand’s first product. After producing prototypes, they now have a series of three (3) product lines: (a) Aerian Premium (b) Aerian Luxewear, and (c) Aerian Classic.

Singaporean Technology Meets Filipino Craftsmanship

The patented nanosilver fabric is the brainchild of Dr. Liu Hongjun, a chemist renowned worldwide for his work in the field of green technology, and PhD Chemistry holder from the National University of Singapore (NUS). An advocate for helping others, Dr Liu first began his work with nanosilver by purifying contaminated water into safe drinking water for disaster-stricken areas, and to date, has 20 highly-impacted published research papers and 31 international patents to his name.

Under his guidance, the nCamM™ material used in Aerian products have undergone rigorous rounds of testing that adhere to the standards of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), giving you assurance that our product is of the highest quality.

ILAC is the international organisation for accreditation bodies operating in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011 and involved in the assessment and accreditation of calibration laboratories (using ISO/IEC 17025), testing laboratories (using ISO/IEC 17025), medical testing laboratories (using ISO 15189) and inspection bodies (using ISO/IEC 17020).

Aerian Essentials’ line of protective wearables kick off with three variants of design: Premium, Luxewear, and Classic. They are available in multiple colors, designs, and sizes.

Premium masks are for the everyday and designed to fit into any lifestyle with a variety of colors and sizes. For the fashion-forward, up the ante with Luxewear designed exclusively in limited quantities with Albert Andrada’s signature opulent colors and prints, while Classic masks incorporate indigenous prints from The Kandama Collective, empowering communities with livelihoods.

Practical Protection with Less Environmental Impact

Aerian Essentials is committed to products that are accessible and budget-friendly. The Aerian Premium mask, for instance, is priced at PhP 799 apiece, and with proper care can last up to four (4) months, bringing the cost of reliable protection for you and those you love to only PhP 6.65/ day. Aerian Classic has an even lower price tag. It is a line available exclusively for bulk orders, ideal for companies that wish to provide enhanced and reliable protection for its employees.

As all of Aerian Essential products are reusable, they are a better alternative to single-use masks, allowing you to reduce your impact on the environment.

Creating a Lasting Impact

Just a few months ago in March, Miss Valerie Lim (Miss Universe Singapore 2011 and the current National Director of the Miss Universe Singapore organization), reached out to facilitate a donation of face masks through the Miss Universe Philippines organization, through its Creative Director, Jonas Gaffud.

“Valerie and I are really good friends and we go way back. When she reached out about the donation, it ultimately led to a deeper conversation about taking on the greater challenge of how to effect a long-term benefit. Aerian Essentials was, thus, born,” reveals Jonas.
