The race to the Universe has gotten tighter as the Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced the Official Miss Universe Philippines Delegates who advanced to the Top 75. The pioneering effort of the pageant in conducting virtual challenges at the initial stages of the competition proved to be effective. The delegates have been able to safely comply with the requirements prior to the implementation of ECQ and other stricter forms of quarantine.
With the NCR under ECQ and other parts of the country various stages of quarantine, the virtual challenges and voting through the MUPh App are proving to be an effective way to successfully and responsibly stage a pageant. The staggerring amount of votes for the delegates only strengthen the notion that FIlipino pageant fans are the best in the Universe. Pageant fans from all over the world have tirelessly supported all the delegates from all over the Philippines.
The Headshot Challenge and the Introduction Video Challenge were the first two virtual challenges that people have been able to vote on. At the conclusion of each challenge, the Top 15 vote getters were announced in the MUPh Social Media pages.
Kristen Danielle Delavin of Masbate, Rousanne Marie Bernos of San Juan City, Maureen Wroblewitz of Pangasinan and Steffi Aberasturi of Cebu Province consistently placed 1 to 4, respectively, in both challenges. While Katrina Dimaranan of Taguig City, Leren Mae Bautista of Laguna and Maria Corazon Abalos of Mandaluyong City have been placed between 5-7 in these challenges.
The cumulative votes from these challenges and the MUPh Organization votes determined the Top 75 delegates. As their journey to the crown continues, the Runway Video Challenge will be released on the Miss Universe Philippines App on August 9, 2021. The public can once again vote for their favorites and help them advance to the Top 50.
