Binibining Unibersidad 2014

Binibining Unibersidad one of the Premiere University-based Pageant Search held its 2014 Grand Coronation Night last Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Tejeros Hall, AFP Compound, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Eighteen lovely ladies from various colleges and universities from Luzon, NCR and Western Visayas, competed in the pageant.

The Candidates are:

1.    Kai Pajutagan – National Teachers College

2.    Jennico Rose de Guzman - UP Los Banos

3.    Fevy Besas - STI

4.    Yzabelle Urdaneta - St. Anne College Lucena

5.    Metchie Lyn Bacong - West Visayas University

6.    Marineth Agellon - Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite

7.    Hicarl Tacksay - Lyceum of the Philippines University

8.    Jaime Rose Andrea Castillo - Global City Innovative College

9.    Joanna Ricci Alajar - Perpetual Help System University

10. Shryla Nunez - University of the East

11. Vientree Zoe Santiago - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

12. Henna Santos - Rizal Technological University

13. Kimberly Ann del Rosario - NSCT

14. Engileen Estanislao - Arellano University

15. Jacky Louie Ann Tamayo - National University

16. Aileen Joy Tungol - Our Lady of Fatima University

17. Kristine Joyce Jose - University of Manila

18. Clarisse Jean Lim - EARIST

Various Pre-pageant events were held prior to the grand coronation night, this includes the Talent and Sportswear Competition hosted by the National Teachers College last September 27, Peace Forum last October 3 and the National Costume Competition last October 4, both held at the AFP Compound.

From eighteen official candidates, eight finalists were chosen to advance at the final question and answer segment of the completion. Each of the finalists were asked by a member of the judging panel, they are, Ms. Noemi Castro, Miss Vilma Catapang, Miss Crezel Love Narvasa, Mr. Maciek Smigierlrki, Mr. Nebuchadnezzar Alejandrino, Mr. Bobby Morrigan,  Major General Lysander Suerte, Dr. Telly Somera, TV Director, Mr. Bert de Leon, Miss Evelyn del Rosario, and Bb. Unibersidad 2012, Miss Kimberly Hakenson.

“We are so happy for this year’s batch of candidates, for they not only possess physical beauty but a beautiful and caring heart, who despite of their young age, are all willing to contribute their time, effort and talent in promoting the main advocacy of Binibining Unibersidad, that is the promotion of peace, social change, youth leadership and protection of the environment. I’m hopeful that this year’s batch of winners will continue the good work that their predecessors have started.” says Miss Arlene Vergara, CEO and President of Bb. Unibersidad Pageant in an exclusive interview before the coronation night.

Five outstanding ladies were proclaimed winners at the conclusion of the event. They are: Vientree Zoe Santiago        , 18 yrs. Old, a BS Biology Major of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Ambassador for Environment, Shryla Nunez, 17 years old and Dentistry Student of University of the East, Ambassador for Healthy Living, Henna Santos            , an 18 year old BS Electronics and Communications Engineer of Rizal Technological University, Ambassador for Youth Leadership, Jaime Rose Andrea Castillo, 20 yrs. Old and a student of Professional Business Studies at the Global City Innovative College, Ambassador for Education and Jacky Louie Ann Tamayo, 22 yrs. Old, Mechanical Engineering Major of the National University, Bb. Unibersidad 2014 Ambassador for Peace and Social Change.

Jacky will represent the Philippines at the 2014 World Miss University in Korea this November. The 2014 Binibing Unibersidad Pageant are Sponsored by Privato Hotel, Yza Botanica Soap, David Salon and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
