Megan Lynne Young, the first Filipina to win the Miss World Crown returns to her country to celebrate her historic triumph with fans and supporters. Miss World 2013 kicks off her World Tour beginning with Manila, her 1st stop as announced by Miss World Philippines Chairman and CEO Cory Quirino. Young bested 125 candidates on September 28, 2013 in Miss World 62nd edition at the Nusa Bali Convention Center. Winning the pageant experts call the "coveted blue crown" of Miss World has always been considered more than a dream because it bordered on near-obsession for pageant aficinados. This, beacause the Philippines had never before succeeded in winning the Miss World Crown in the 62-year existence of Miss World. Many called it elusive and jinxed. And yet, Megan Young dispelled everyone's fears with her victory. Now, the Miss World is securely resting on her head.
